Wanting to move past just touch technology, Johnnie Walker and McLaren racing turned to AFTER-MOUSE.COM to develop a gesture based application using Kinect™ for Windows®. The system was deployed in Dubai’s International Airport, and encouraged guests to stop by and play around.
The application featured interviews and videos with McLaren drivers, with users activating the content by making simple gestures with their hands. The game portion of the application presented users with a grid of racing helmets, with one single helmet a unique color. Users had to find the unique helmet and select it, hovering above it with their hand. The game is timed, and users are shown their scores and compete against each other for the best time.
In addition to the promotional content highlighted in the application itself, the display was placed by a wall of Johnnie Walker products for a superb branded environment.
